This community that supports and practice early Buddhist meditative training methodology and practices originally taught by the Buddha. He called it Harmonious Endeavor. It is traditionally known as Right Effort but is not applied in popular forms meditation methods practiced today. This approach to meditation is was designed to be transformative. It can be applied to any personal circumstance or body posture. In his discourses, the Buddha taught how Harmonious Endeavor acts to decondition the causes of anxiety, fear, and stress that result in unhappiness. The goal is a life that flourishes in contentment and ease.
Accelerated and Introductory
Accelerated group practice is specifically formatted for those experienced in deep meditative equanimity and extended practice times. See the Six Rs page for more information.
Introductory class series are scheduled in the North Bay annually at various locations. Instruction provides beginner and long time meditators clearer understanding how we unconsciously create the majority of our unhappiness and offers a means to decondition habitual patterns by applying specific understanding about how this happens and meditative techniques to transform it. By applying specific Buddha;s earlier principles and practices, conflict and reactivity easily dissolve resulting in contentment and well being for people with active lifestyles.
Instruction and guidance is available with one-on-one coaching and group instruction. This introductory program is tailored for affinity groups and meditation communities with specific interests in theory and skill development.
