Residential Retreats to be Announced in April 2016, Cassidy Ranch is situated on a sunny vinyard few miles from the historic Sonoma California. The contemporary house is nestled among sprawling acres of shade trees, lawns, and woodlands. Participants will enjoy the expansive natural beauty of with comfortable furnished room and vegetarian or conventional California style meals.
General Guidelines
Participants will be requested to observe 8 precepts. The retreat will be largely in silence however, mindful speech is taught and practiced at specified times.
The schedule includes several optional daily group practice sessions along with a collective reading of the refuges and precepts will be followed by seated meditation before breakfast. A facilitated group meeting will take place prior to the evening talk given by the retreat leader. The majority of daily meditation is self directed with session locations and times determined as needed by each participant. Daily personal one-on-one interviews are scheduled with the retreat leader to optimize the meditation experience to progress with ease and develop greater wisdom.
Lodging and Meals
This is a not-for-profit retreat. Fees cover the costs for facilities, lodging, meals, insurance, printing and postage expenses. The cost is $50 a day with meals and single or shared accommodations pending availability. Breakfast, lunch will be buffet style. The community refrigerated food storage is available to those with special dietary needs.
